This morning @SportsMemNet we welcome Geoff Thompson who needs no introduction to north east football fans.

Geoff was the founder and former CEO of Utilitywise energy consultants and is well known in footballing circles as the pioneering Chairman of South Shields Football Club who under Geoff’s stewardship have enjoyed a remarkable rise up the non-league footballing ladder. Also recently Geoff helped save Durham Women’s team from going out of business. It’s a 10:30am start as usual.

Bishop set the tone from the opening seconds against Kendal Town and went on to produce a dominant attacking display.

Gary Martin, Craig Moody, Ben Jordison and Luke Williams were all on target as the Blues secured a 4-1 league victory, with Kendal's consolation arriving late in the contest.
