Pirouz, the only survivor of three Asiatic Cheetah cubs born in captivity, famously featured in Shervin Hajipour’s song “Baraye” as the pride of Iran and a last hope for his species, has passed after acute kidney failure.

Pirouz’s mother is still able to be pregnant, and there are currently three females left of the species. The Islamic Republic has unfortunately jailed conservationists, which creates unnecessary difficulties for reviving the unique species. @peta and other animal rights groups must unite behind efforts to sustain the species while we still have a chance to save it. Release these crucial scientists immediately.

The species once roamed all the way from the Arabian peninsula to the Indian Subcontinent. The only remaining individuals left in the entire world are in Iran, dependent on scientists who are being tortured in jail as we speak. Outrageous.

Wenn Frau Baerbock sagt, sie sei für die Terrorlistung der #IRGC, dann habe ich Zweifel an der Glaubhaftigkeit ihrer Worte. Weil ich nicht erkennen kann, dass sie dafür kämpft. Bei ihr ist alles rechtlich schwierig. Dabei ist die Rechtslage klar und Beweismaterial gibt es genug.
