@AdrianCercenia If you use @BitvaultApp with 2 HWs you don’t have to worry about entropy or seed phrases leaks anymore , because you’ll always have the priority to spend before of the attacker, whatever it happens :

We are joined by Bitcoin self-custody experts @V4BTC & @CiccioMadonna to discuss the new state of play for Bitcoin holders following a brutal month.

P2A gives a fee-paying child a compact, keyless output to spend. TRUC keeps the unconfirmed structure small enough for replacement to remain manageable.
The hook is open; competition around it is bounded.

Weak randomness can compromise keys. BitVault changes what happens next.
A+B still face the fallback delay. Refreshing V0 into V1 restarts the timer and invalidates transactions built on V0.

More bad news for Bitcoiners living in the leading country for wrench attacks. The French tax authority has been hacked and 678K records leaked.

@CiccioMadonna@ww_net2@SimplyBitcoin@nunchuk_io all of the other wallets with timelocks in circulation are not designed to resist physical attacks , hacks , loss of entropy and total loss of the keys in non-custodial . It’s not enough to put a timelock out there to make things work . not even close .
@CiccioMadonna@stack2thefuture min requirements are an iphone 8 with iOS 16.0 installed, you can find it for 100 usd or less. if you use it without a SIM card and with Lockdown mode ON, you have a dedicated high-security device also for the coordinator App. Probably 1 Jade Plus and 1 Keystone is the best setup
@SimplyBitcoin Thank you @SimplyBitcoin for having us to speak about how Bitcoin's protocol-level programmability now enables a flexible vault that is resistant to any physical or cyber vulnerability.
BitVault CEO explains how a time-delay combined with multisig can protect Bitcoin from an exploit:
"The attacker even if it has the the seed of both your other wallet keys, it cannot move the funds because there is a timelock at one year and you as a user can always move the funds before them."

@publord Or maybe people could just use their brain and learn why @BitvaultApp is resistant to the loss of entropy of HWs , therefore superior :

"a really dark week for self-custody"
wild how the Cold Card hack just… evaporated from the timeline.
feels like $100M + in bitcoin got drained, and the news cycle just... moved on.
sat down with @BitvaultApp's Dr. Francesco Madonna @CiccioMadonna to actually break down what happened. the warning that got ignored a year earlier, and why multi sig time-locks change the game.
"self-custody still isn't optional."
