@BibleInContext1 Jesus and the Apostles NEVER taught sola scriptura. In fact, the Bible specifically states that teachings are by “word of mouth” in addition to scriptures.
@TharosProject Do you not understand the picture? It’s about intercessory prayer. Jesus is God. Praying to him is praying directly to God. Of course he isn’t on there.
Also, you clearly don’t understand what Christ being the mediator means.
@HwsEleutheroi@GuitarmanJoel And, while some of the “official vocabulary” for some of these things may not have been used, Councils only proclaim what was always the belief.
@HwsEleutheroi@GuitarmanJoel The problem is that we know that chart is false based on historical evidence. While the Rosary in current form was later, there were in fact prayers to Mary. There were also inscriptions on the catacombs of prayer to Peter and Paul. You aren’t being genuine.
@slyoung27@BibleInContext1 I have read the entire thing multiple times. Everything points to it being literal. If you want greater co text, read the entire Bible. It starts with the mana. And Christ tells us to ask the father for our “super substantial bread”.
@IndianaBrunner Of course it does. It lead myself and many many many others there. Just because you have your own agenda and refuse to see it, doesn’t mean no one else can.
@rickbrennanjr@GuitarmanJoel The flaw in your story is that they did indeed create their own churches. If what you say is true, they would have reformed the Church and not broken off from it.
@FightofFaith@ScottRoberts How do you know? I am sure there have been people in beautiful Cathedrals that have had Thad sense of awe lead them to Christ. I know that it is easiest for me to see the presence of God in a sacred space.
@LeeFoo9@DPGBehler Those “former Catholics” were not actually practicing Catholics. They are fan boys who like defaming the Church to fit in with your group.
@BibleInContext1 Wrong brother. We do use them to interpret the Bible. Who has a better understanding of the Bible, you or someone taught directly by an Apostle?
@miayea3@BishopBarron That’s laughable. Are you in a state of life where you could legitimately become a nun?
My thought not. Give the politics a rest lady.
@needGod_net@BibleInContext1 If Christians literal in John 6 then absolutely nothing in the Bible is literal. That means anyone can say Gods word is whatever is right in their own eyes.
