"Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System"
👆The title of Satoshi's Bitcoin whitepaper. It says it all, really... What it doesn't say is: "Bitcoin: A peer-to-peer repository, cloud storage, cloud computing or picture book System.
Here's the thing about @mattkratter, it took him a long time to understand #Bitcoin. Just like it did for most of us who now call ourselves Bitcoin maximalists.
As far as I can tell, over the course of his understanding he went from ignoring Bitcoin, to trading it, to playing with shitcoins, and finally to becoming a toxic bitcoin maximalist.
You know what I haven't seen from him?
I haven't seen any sign of selling his name to a sponsor.
I haven't seen him use his position as a bitcoin maxi to promote a bitcoin affinity scam or layer 2 nonsense.
I haven't seen him grift his way into a bullshit position as a BiTcOiN AdViSoR at some second rate Bitcoin trashury company.
In other words, all I have seen from him is a steady, progressive, and irreversible understanding of Bitcoin as money, a refusal to budge from that stance, and a willingness to put his name and reputation on the line to keep Bitcoin the hardest money man will ever know.
The Bitcoin space would benefit from more bitcoiners like Matt.
The latest episode of Once Bitten has just dropped.
It's with Maaaaaaaaaaattheeeeeew Kratter.
We discuss Matt's journey from TradFi to Bitcoin, his critiques of financial engineering and loan products, and the ongoing "Spam Wars" and BIP-110 soft fork debate within the Bitcoin community.

@BitcoinBombadil What I've read and witnessed were a lot of bad faith arguments, gaslighting, and derogatory statements—some wilfully and purposely detracting, distracting, and misleading—to prevent or avoid any meaningful dialogue where Bitcoin's true and only purpose as money is central.
Plebs, keep mining. We are starting to see the fruits of our labor with more RDTS blocks! The time to focus is here! Rug the spammers, bankrupt the bad actors!
@Pledditor You got nothing better to do? Like, explaining what my mempool is? Asking questions about what defines spam? Is there really such a thing? Filters don't work? Filtering is censorship? Or my node doesn't matter? Build yourself a URSF or stay in the corner you painted yourself in.
BIP-110 is working. The momentum alone is making BRC-shitcoins, ordinals, nft scam volumes drop fast. Platforms are withdrawing support for them, or are out of funds. We need to keep bullying them relentlessly, until every single one of those grifters are gone.
Bitcoin is Money!
