These 5 lessons cost me real money.
9 years in Bitcoin. Crashes. Scams. Bankruptcies. But every painful lesson made the conviction stronger.
Here's what I wish someone told me on Day 1.

Sophie Cunningham isn’t holding back 🔥 After Dijonai Carrington’s dirty foul & ejection, Sophie goes full savage — calling her the dirtiest player in the league, shutting down the race-card claims, and even throwing shade about that natural blonde hair 😂 Blonde don’t care, she said what she said! WNBA drama at its finest 🏀💥
🚨BREAKING: Thousands call for WNBA to SUSPEND DiJonai Carrington
“SHE CLEARLY ATTACKED SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM”
SUSPEND HER IMMEDIATELY! 🔥🏀🚫
I firmly support the WNBA suspending DiJonai Carrington for the attack👍
🚨 OMG. WNBA player DiJonai Carrington just ATTACKED Sophie Cunningham in the face and neck, got ejected, and then cried "white privilege" on social media
Literally a straight shot that could've SEVERELY injured Cunningham.
This is anti-white targeting.
Cunningham was visibly furious.
They are NOT going to stop until they hurt her. It has to stop
After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines,
I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.
If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.
My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.
I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions.
I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices.
I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone — the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.
My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles.
See you at training camp.

NEW: Illinois Governor Pritzker has signed a 0.2% tax on crypto transactions into law including transfers between personal wallets, with the Crypto Council for Innovation calling it "the most punitive digital asset tax in the country."
It's April 15th. Tax day.
While millions of Americans file returns on dollars that lost purchasing power, Bitcoin sits at 21 million. Fixed forever.
The tax code gets longer every year. Bitcoin's monetary policy fits in one sentence.
Good morning. Stay patient. Stay informed.

Monday evening check-in:
Bitcoin's market cap just passed $1.5 trillion.
For context, that's bigger than Meta. Bigger than Tesla. Bigger than the GDP of most countries.
And it's still only 16 years old.
What do you think Bitcoin's market cap will be in 2030? Drop your prediction below.

I've been holding Bitcoin since 2017. Through 3 crashes. A six-figure custodial loss.
Bitcoin at ~$74,408 today. Extreme Fear (12) on the index. But institutional money keeps flowing in. Biggest risk in 2026 isn't owning Bitcoin. It's understanding it too late. Having been in for over 9 years, I've learned to focus on those long-term charts and rest easy.
I've been holding Bitcoin since 2017. Through 3 crashes. A six-figure custodial loss. That long-term chart has been up and to the right it's entire life! Volatile? Yes Worth hanging through that volatility? Definitely.
Institutional money keeps flowing in. Biggest risk in 2026 isn't owning Bitcoin, but not owning it!

As a semi-retired guy who's been in Bitcoin for 9 years, I acknowledge that we are at the mercy of the market, but love what that's meant over the long term.

As someone who spent decades in real estate development, this hits different. I've watched capital flow into property because there was no better store of value. Bitcoin changes that equation completely. Real estate stays useful — but it stops being the default savings account. That shift is massive.
@Velvet0shadow And that's the beautiful irony. The institutions that dismissed Bitcoin are now the ones accelerating its adoption. For those of us who've been stacking since the early days, this is validation — not a surprise. The only question left isn't IF, it's how fast.
