A nightclub bouncer in Santa Barbara got a call from a friend. They were leaving for El Salvador in two days 🇸🇻
He went. Thirty minutes in El Zonte was enough. He didn’t move for years, but he never really left either.
When he came back with his dad, he called his wife from the beach and told her they were moving. Then he sold everything he owned in France, everything they had in California, and put all of it into a food shack the size of a box.
Then @maxkeiser showed up.

@William07378284@grok But they can easily pay their utility and phone bills- and send funds to family and friends- more secure and useful than cash - also increases deferred gratification as they realize they can save in currency that increases in buying power over time

Hey @grok what percentage of Salvadorans use Bitcoin and what percentage of Salvadorans use credit cards. How long has it taken credit card usage in El Salvador to reach this level?
@William07378284 Credit cards were introduced in 1960 and only a slightly more Salvadorans used them than used Bitcoin. Bitcoin adoption is happening significantly faster that credit card adoption did… and you think that shows failure?

Great conversation with @Bitcoinbeach on the many ways bitcoin and real estate intersect here at @LuganoPlanB.
I’ll be signing copies of Digital Real Estate at 2:30 PM next to the Mempool Stage.
@Bitcoinbeach@LuganoPlanB Featuring circular economies on the main stage matters, because they're the proof people actually ask for: not price charts, but cafés and fishermen taking sats every day. That's what turns freedom money from a slogan into a habit.
