Yet, the South African National Treasury is drafting regulations that would potentially make it one.

These vague rules could:
- Ban self-custody of crypto assets.
- Force the sale of private assets to the state.
- Outlaw peer-to-peer transactions.
- Give the Minister arbitrary power to set illegal thresholds without a parliamentary vote.

This is not regulation. It's expropriation.

"Tribe of 21" tour begins in Cape Town, witnessing Bitcoin adoption in Khayelitsha — one of South Africa’s largest townships — where @BitcoinLoxion shows that financial sovereignty starts at the grassroots.

Walk or cycle Khayelitsha Bitcoin Hub, visit Wall of Curiosity, and Igadi Yethemba Community Garden (Garden of Hope). Spend sats at a local spaza or coffee roaster.

We end the day at the V&A Waterfront. Dinner with your tribe caps a journey of stark contrasts — from Khayelitsha’s township streets to the Cape Town harbour’s modern luxury.
