You don’t actually know how irrelevant web3 is until you work outside it again for a little bit.

The industry basically doesn’t exist and to the extent that it does, it’s on the same perceived moral ground as casinos on native american reservations.

Many women live only in the current moment (ironically, those are also unable to enjoy the current moment). This is why they are unable to start moving their car on yellow, and must wait until it's been green a second. It is also why they cannot park/unpark well - it's not just geometric awareness, it's that short term cause and effect simply do not compute - turning the wheel fully does indeed let you make a tighter turn, even from full stop.

That is also why every emotion they feel is fatalistic - if they are happy, they assume they will be happy always. If they are sad, they will assume they will be sad always.

The problem is that these moments are hard for them to shake. As they misinterpret words, they feel an emotion that is equally fatalist and as such they have trouble shaking it. You now made her feel like she is going to feel Y forever, and therefore you must be held accountable, also forever (or until you buy her a cheesecake or she sees something cute online).

The secret is to not hold it against them. They cannot help themselves, much like we cannot help our gear-acquisition-syndrome or the desire to die heroically for someone else.

Zoom out, and just understand that on the great sinusoid of life, they are simply too zoomed in to see the big picture.
