@TurnBasedThurs Infested Fortress brings back old dungeon keeper vibes but a lot more complexity. Manage your base, develop your heroes, craft gear and use your brains in turn based combat where RNG doesn't determine the outcome - but your decisions do!

Infested Fortress is on Steam Strategy Fest with a 20% discount: Build your fortress, develop your hero team and fight all kinds of monsters in sophisticated turn-based battles where RNG doesn't matter - but your decisions do! https://t.co/E2xfM01RBu

@Zoroarts_Dev I had a similar conversation yesterday where a guy was complaining after playing through the game that after 20h it is already over. I was going to a stand-up comedy yesterday and paid 21 bucks for close to 2h entertainment. Expectations of many gamers are totally off.
@Esty8nine @Zoroarts_Dev When it comes to accessibility/onboarding of new players, group 3 becomes more important. When it comes to business advice or whether the game is marketable/worth doing group 2 becomes way more important, ofc.
@Esty8nine @Zoroarts_Dev Assuming it's about feedback about the game, not business advice, the order is:
1. avid fans of the genre (they know the genre better than the dev or professional).
2. a professional (singular opinion).
3. people willing to playtest and provide feedback.
4. random players.
@Zoroarts_Dev @Esty8nine Playtesting > game consultant. Use Steam playtest & later EA, but what worked best for me was life playtests. A dozen life playtesters are usually enough, stuff keeps repeating after that.
That - and as you said - the genre...genre + visual style=99% of your game's potential. gl
@MoonsOfArdan Good so far, thanks for asking. Getting a lot of positive and actionable feedback. Youtuber coverage could be better, it‘s really hard to get their attention.
