The Invisible Work Problem

Everyone talks about what AI can do. Nobody talks about what went into making it useful. Behind every capable AI model is an enormous amount of human work with no name and no record - people who wrote the prompts that shaped its behavior, corrected the outputs that were slightly off, fed it context it would have never found on its own. That work changed the model. And the moment it happened, it vanished into the system with zero trace of who did it.

The entire value of an AI system sits on top of contributions that are impossible to prove. You cannot point to what you added or show what changed because of you. The platform knows the output got better. It just has no way of connecting that back to anyone, because it was never designed to.
