When you do something for:
- a superior, you do it quickly
- a subordinate, there's no particular hurry
- the cops or government, you do it when you can't do anything else to avoid doing it
If you know how to manage time, you need at most only 6 hours in your day & not everyday
We celebrate and honor the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers around the world. Your tireless efforts keep our society running and make the world a better place. Happy Workers Day! #workersday2023#NIBSS#nibssplc
There are over 3,000 schools in the US, and many don't request TOEFL or IELTS from Nigerians
You can apply and get funded

Stop hiding in the corner, learning by yourself in the dark. Great talent is hard to find. So be findable.
Build in public. Show us what you are working on. We want to hire you.
On your US student visa interview
Matters arising
Funding is a major issue when it comes to the approval of your visa
The VO wants to be sure that you have the funding to cover not only your tuition but also your upkeep
It is your duty to convince the VO as honestly as possible
That is why an assistantship for me, is still the most convincing. Assistantships take care of both your tuition and your upkeep
What if you don't have an assistantship?
You want to be sure you have a sponsor who is not only willing to take care of your tuition but also has enough to take care of your upkeep
The usual way to prove this to the VO is to show evidence of fund in the person's account, so you must have the bank account statement of such sponsor
You must be able to explain why the person is willing to spend around $30k+ on you per year
That's why it's usually difficult to use a bank statement of the uncle of the friend of your cousin for such
Very close relatives like parents of course are easier to prove
Answers like "I'll find a job to cater for myself" doesn't usually go down well
You're expected to focus on your studies, and truth be told,no side job can pay your tuition
What about loans? I now advise going for one that will reflect in your i20, which you can present to the VO to show your tuition and living expenses has been sorted
Many have asked me about MPOWER. Yes, this is what they do. Apply through this my unique link: https://t.co/1zbNoCAw5C
Another major issue is your plan after graduation
Since your visa category is a non-immigrant visa, you're expected to return to your country after your studies
You must have a beautiful plan of coming back that is beneficial to your field and country. And that in fact, can serve as home ties for you
You also need to know about the school you're going to (of course you should)
You must be able to defend why you chose the school and what value that will add to you
In essence you're telling the VO "I have what it takes to study successfully in your country". That includes academic qualifications and financial resources
"I will come back to my country to do this and that because I would have possessed such and such skills"
This requires preparation because your conversation with VO will take around 5 mins
Many things to cover, but I would rather wait for your questions. You can also check the youtube videos and twitter spaces I've done on this topic
Congratulations in advance
