Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.
Psalm 84:3-4
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Matthew 4:1-4
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
Isaiah 11:3-4
His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful
to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”
Luke 1:46-55
And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Happy New Year! Here's to many good new things in 2026.
But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
It’s time to wake up Moore’s Law! Truly an exciting day for American innovation. xLight’s extreme ultraviolet lithography for semiconductors could reduce wafer processing costs by as much as 30-40%, while dramatically driving up fab manufacturing productivity.
This $150M LOI with the U.S. Department of Commerce will accelerate the field of advanced lithography and chip manufacturing. Congratulations to the Trump Administration and the xLight team.

This past year has been filled with so much to be thankful for and I'm looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my wife, Linda, and the rest of our family. I'll once again be lead turkey chef (and as an engineer, the pressure to produce the perfect slice is immense).
From joining the @Playground_VC family and diving into the deepest of tech...to collaborating with @gloo as we build a leading technology platform for the faith and flourishing ecosystem, I'm so grateful to all of our teams.
Wishing you and your families the happiest of Thanksgivings.
When I was 18 yrs old, I came to Christ and started intently studying the Bible. It began to transform my life as I immersed myself into God’s word daily and set me on the path I live today.
So great to see @YouVersion and other organizations championing November as #GlobalBibleMonth. I encourage all to join their 30-day Bible reading challenge....and if you do, check out two of my favorite passages: Revelations 3:15-16 and Colossians 3:23-24.
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
Psalm 139:1-4
But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:27-31
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Psalm 118:22-24
Certainly there is more to understand about young people's relationship with religion, who is and is not going to church, and why. But I still find these trends very encouraging.
Since 2019, Gen Z and Millennials were the generations least likely to attend church, and today they are the most engaged! Their reasons and practices may be different from other generations but they clearly have more interest and openness to religion than we've given them credit for.
