Implicatively, it looks like they are either trying to invent a new condition, or perhaps their own findings infer the possibility that generality of such claims are not based in psychopathology at all.

Some of the darkest realities in history sounded impossible right up until the records came out.

People were mocked for talking about MKUltra until it was exposed that the CIA had been running mind control and behavior modification experiments.

People were told not to worry about Tuskegee until it became undeniable that men had been deceived and denied proper treatment in the name of research.

COINTELPRO sounded unbelievable until documents showed the FBI had targeted, infiltrated, and disrupted political groups and activists.

Mass surveillance was dismissed for years, then Snowden showed the scale of what was really happening behind the curtain.

That's how it works...

The truth is often rejected first, not because it is false, but because people don't want to believe institutions could operate at that level of deception, abuse, or secrecy.

The public tends to assume that if something is truly evil, it would be impossible to hide.

History says otherwise...

The bigger the implication, the harder it is for people to accept early.

The darker the reality, the easier it is to label the people talking about it.

Until the files surface.Until the hearings happen.

Until the “crazy” story becomes part of the historical record.

So when something sounds too dark, too coordinated, or too disturbing to be real, maybe the right response is not instant dismissal.

How many times has the public been trained to reject the truth before the evidence becomes impossible to deny?

Some of the worst things ever done to human beings were hidden behind authority, secrecy, science, national security, or public trust.

That's not pessimism.

That's history.

And history has a way of warning the present, if people are willing to listen.

If Havana Syndrome was acknowledged as real when it happened to diplomats, why is the conversation so different when civilians report similar experiences?

That double standard should bother anyone who cares about truth.

When it’s a government employee overseas, it’s treated as a serious national security issue.

When it’s an everyday person at home, they’re often dismissed, mocked, or told it’s “impossible.”

Here’s the lesson...

The label changes, but the question stays the same, what is causing these experiences, and why is the burden of proof so uneven depending on who you are?

Real investigation doesn’t start with a conclusion.
It starts with documentation, patterns, timelines, and measurable data, especially when multiple people report similar experiences.

So ask yourself...

If it can happen there, why not here?

If it’s real for them, why is it “crazy” for civilians?

And who benefits from shutting the conversation down before evidence is even reviewed?
