Update - son has now been in A&E waiting room for 34 hrs, chronically ill waiting to be admitted. He's 2nd on the list. Person in 1st place has been waiting 45 hours.

Can't fault the staff who are desperate to help but overwhelmed.

Hour 29 in A&E waiting room with son who is waiting to be admitted. Staff are great but ther aren't enough of them. Ambulances stacking outside, again Ambulance staff great but swamped. Answer is simple - next General Election, don't vote Tory or they'll destroy the NHS for good.

On Tuesday 08/03/22 I announced in the Council Chamber at budget we have committed to paying the Living Wage Foundation rate for our towns care workers.
Its not enough to just "Clap for our Carers", we need to value them where it counts, and that's in their pay packets!
