NO STEP DRILL ‼️

Here’s how I teach it:
Start by using the back of the line as your spot. Take your plant foot and line your big toe up with the middle seam of the football.

Why?
Because unlike a full approach, the No Step drill doesn’t give you the same momentum. So to make up for it, I pull my plant foot back 3–5 inches to help create better contact with the ball.

⚠️ Remember: This is a drill, not a full kick.

When you’re kicking off the ground with a full approach, now you do have that momentum running to the ball, which allows your plant foot to get deeper. That deeper plant gives your swing the space it needs to make clean contact and drive up and through the ball.

Adjusting from a tee to the ground isn’t always easy—it takes reps and the right drill work. And knowing how to set yourself up during the drill makes a big difference.
