@ThrowbackHoops This was the early days of showing summer league on TV. Miss this - it was a different type of atmosphere. You could hear the players better too.
@SenorDickslime@Merdo190353@laizar27 That's not the basketball I played 15 years ago. The finals were physical this year though - not a lot of belly flopping going on.
@SenorDickslime@Merdo190353@laizar27 I do like soccer... played till 9th grade in HS and was on varsity. Chose basketball in 10th grade, played in college, and then played professional ball for 2 years in Brazil. Simply put, in HS the soccer team is seen as zesty in the US, but 🏈 🏀 is how you become HIM.
@Stiff_FC@CallumR65744720 Banter is dead in the US guys - can't tell you how frustrating it is. You guys should be careful, you might get cancelled by our woke culture if you keep it up! 😂
@cometwtf@nsedef She knew what she was doing lol. What I don't understand is how JPM didn't catch this in DD. Assume they did their own buy-side QofE? Anyways, this is a tax write off for JPM.
@BarstoolBigCat They’ll realize it the same day they admit the 2027 USMNT-Mars exhibition was also rigged in our favor. Greatest dynasty in the history of organized sport and it’s not close. 🇺🇸🦅
@Diederik74@_vincenzobove Fun fact: this is U.S. News’ overall ranking with ‘quality of life’ photoshopped on top - that’s a different list. US is #18 because it’s #1 in Culture/Tourism and #2 in Economic Development but #72 in environment and #41 in civic health. Wealth isn’t the problem. Balance is.
@shagbark_hick C, easy. Burlington’s the only circle here that’s a place people actually move to on purpose. Lake, mountains, ski season, Montreal up the road. Everyone else is picking “near a highway to somewhere better.”
Misread stat + your own chart refuting you, in one post:
1. The Fed doesn’t say 38% can’t afford $400. 63% would cover it in cash; only 13% couldn’t pay by any means; 73% say they’re doing fine.
2. That record spike is SUBPRIME. Prime (most borrowers) is the flat blue line near record lows. You posted proof the distress is bottom-concentrated. That’s the K-shape.
Which is the whole trick: you’re comparing America’s 10th percentile to Germany’s median. US median income still tops the OECD. Sit down.
