@VikDeth502@nhlpens Even if that’s true, the Crosby era has had more success and more championships than many franchisees have in their entire history. Whatever mediocrity awaits as a result has been and will be well worth it, not to mention something any team would wish for.
@goalielovebot Yes. He is supposed to just take it. Refs almost always call the retaliation and not the instigation. At 62 years old, it’s unfathomable he doesn’t know better by now
@MarkMaddenX Sure, but the safe veterans drastically outplayed the young guys. It’s not like it was Jeff Carter and Matt Nieto they were dressing over Rutger. It was Mantha’s 30+ goals and Brazeau’s 17. What you’re talking about is losing for the sake of losing which could push 87 out
@MarkMaddenX That’s just not true, Super. They abandoned load management for 81. They gave Koivunen and McGroarty plenty of chances to take a spot and they didn’t. That’s not on the Penguins. A Hayes showed a flash but played himself out of the lineup. Even Murashov didn’t look quite ready.
@Rescued2021@AGretz Nah dude. You can’t retaliate. I understand TK elbowed him first and is a pos, but you can’t retaliate. Guys in their mid-late 30s who have won cups have to know better. It sucks, but the penguins are getting what they deserve for the way they’re playing
@averagecapsfan The Caps finished with 9 more points in 2009 and won the presidents trophy in 2016 and 2017. That would indicate they had the better, deeper team in all three of Sid’s Cup years
@Flyers_Clips It’s objectively hilarious that Flyers fans are upset with how their star rookie was treated when yapping to a ref about a non call when those same fans are in year 21 of calling Sidney Crosby a crybaby for the exact same thing
@MarkMaddenX Anybody else. Something bad happens pretty much every time he touches the puck. Just refuses to simplify his game and it is at the point where he hurts the team much more than he helps.
@crosbyhistory87@Cory_Tucek The penguins have the 4th best (I think?) pk in the NHL right. I don’t know that Trochek’s impact, contract, and age are worth the price to get him from a division rival
@math_pitt@MarkMaddenX It’s just not that deep. For 21 years, Sid’s given everything he has to the team/city we love. He’s largely responsible for some of the greatest moments + memories in pens history. I’d rather him win than a bunch of guys on other teams who hapoen to be born 300 miles south of him
