I guess for now is to sign a cookie session as a fallback. When the user logs in via Clerk, mint an HMAC signed cookie holding their user ID. Middleware checks the cookie first and skips Clerk entirely if it's valid, so a Clerk outage doesn't kick anyone out for the cookie's lifetime. Just a bandaid tho, need something reliable.
Funny enough, I have a new client that wants to onboard this week and was concerned about switching his software due to reliability๐
Clerk's been down again today. Building a SaaS where auth is a SPOF is rough. Anyone moved off Clerk recently? Eyeing Supabase Auth since I already use Supabase for the DB. Curious what others are running. @clerk outage
Youโre the moron. 12 year olds in El Salvador were literally executing people for MS-13 and Barrio 18 while you sat in your safe little Western bubble sipping soy lattes, calling anyone who wants actual law and order a fascist.
Youโve clearly never lived a day in a country where gangs ran the streets, schools, and prisons. Sit down, touch grass, and maybe read something besides Al Jazeera propaganda before opening your mouth next time. Embarrassing.
