It's healthy for Israelis to acknowledge that Miriam Adelson and her billions are designed to enforce loyalty to Israel among American politicians including the President.
I fully understand. It is extremely disorienting when Trump actually makes sense. But what he is saying is true. This warning - that the overuse of financial sanctions would cause a rush away from the dollar - was first stated by Jack Lew, under Obama.
In a major 2016 speech, Lew warned against "sanctions overreach," arguing that excessive use of sanctions could encourage countries and companies to avoid the US financial system and the dollar. He said:
"The more we condition use of the dollar and our financial system on adherence to U.S. foreign policy, the more the risk of migration to other currencies and other financial systems grows."
I think one big reason some Muslims are viewed negatively in Japan is because of how some Muslims behave.
They often say, “You don’t discriminate against Christians, so why do you treat Muslims differently?”
But the answer is pretty simple.
Because many Christians in Japan accept Japanese culture and try to coexist with it.
They respect the country they live in.
They don’t get angry because pork exists in food.
They don’t complain because there aren’t enough churches.
They don’t demand that Japan change around them.
They try to adapt to Japan.
That’s the difference.
If you move to another country, you don’t get to act like the whole world revolves around you.
Respect the culture, or don’t be surprised when people keep their distance.
This woman is a state attorney. And a liar. I gave my passport over immediately when asked.
The police threatened to smash my phone for legally protecting myself and filming them as they broke numerous laws, and she calls their behaviour exemplary.
Considering she’s a high profile state attorney, this is particularly alarming.
Everyone understandably gets a bit nervous when an agent of Israel starts threatening -- I mean, "predicting" -- a major mass casualty terrorist attack on American soil just days after the American President announces a deal that enrages all of Israel.
It is a very good thing that President Trump was able to sign the MOU with Iran and end this war.
I pray the peace holds—restraining Israel & focusing on stability in the region will be critical to ensure it lasts.
God Bless America 🇺🇸
A Muslim woman from Indonesia came to Japan on a Specified Skilled Worker visa to work at a farm in Kagoshima.
The farm told her not to wear a hijab while working. Their reason was simple:
“It narrows your field of vision, and with agricultural machinery running, sometimes you can’t hear instructions clearly. While you’re in Japan, it would be better to take it off.”
She refused and later quit. After quitting, she claimed she was treated badly — saying even during a company trip she was told not to wear the hijab, and that the founder’s daughters yelled at her to “stop dawdling” and made her run to the fields.
The farm’s response was straightforward:
“She didn’t even join that company trip. And we never told anyone to run to the fields.”
This is the kind of friction that’s already happening when people who refuse to adapt to basic workplace safety rules are brought in.
This Iran deal is about as far removed from ‘unconditional surrender’ as any deal in the history of Planet Earth.
I’m glad President Trump is getting out of this fiasco, but I bet if he had his time again, he’d have never got into it or believed Netanyahu’s bullsh*t.
Republicans are fine with calling Michelle Obama a man, from the White House steps.
They're fine with Trump calling Dems the enemy of America.
But if a 19 year old kid says he doesn't want to work for a jew, they want his entire life destroyed.
@globeandmail Canada is an international embarrassment ……Where’s your opinion on that? You cannot say anything because the deal has not been make public yet so how are you writing an opinion? I know it’s full on Canadian retardation and TDS coming out
Israelis are CELEBRATING 8 American deaths after the B52 crash in California
‘They deserve it, I hate the United States no less than Iran.’
‘We just started, dear Americans. The blows have only just begun.’
Israel isn't happy.
They lobbied Washington for years to attack Iran.
The US finally did it. Struck Iranian nuclear sites. Deployed the Navy. Lost American lives.
Israel's contribution? Minimal, then almost nothing. They left the US to fight alone and used the war to distract from people noticing that they were illegally taking more of Lebanon's land.
Israel now occupies 770 square miles of Lebanon. Nearly one-fifth of the country. And they have announced they're not giving it back.
They wanted the war with Iran. They didn't fight it. They used it as a cover to invade Lebanon. And now they're angry the war with Iran is ending.
What do you think about that?
