Lots of chat re: a certain post on #PeriodPoverty
New Govt scheme in fact goes beyond tackling affordability issues - itβs a scheme to provide free period products in school for *anyone* who needs them (eg if caught short)
But in case a reminder is needed that poverty exists β¬οΈ
Sorry if this is gross.
But #periodpoverty FFS?!
My mum had to use old rags which my grandma boiled-washed and she re-used.
How did she ever manage to get a scholarship to grammar school, go to Uni and became a headteacher without free tampons???

We have a period-friendly Parliament (see photo) with free access to period products for MSPs, staff and anyone else working here or visiting. First in the world; very proud.
Letβs give everyone in Scotland who needs period products access through a free universal scheme. π
