I don't care what was in his system. I don't care if he was drunk. I don't care if he was high. I don't care if he was angry. I don't care if he was sad. I don’t care. THAT COP’S KNEE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ON THAT MAN’S NECK FOR ALMOST 9 MINUTES. Period. End of story. That’s it.
@NotinOurChurch1 At the age of 11, My Methodist youth pastor was with me when I gave my heart to Jesus and he actually helped me say the sinner's prayer. He ALSO did this while he was grooming me, molesting me and raping me.
Healing generational trauma is like turning a very large ship. It must be done little by little or the ship will sink. But if you turn it, even a bit, the passengers on the ship will now be facing a different way-they will have a different view. The unimaginable becomes possible.
@rachelpeach15 This is the way my youth minister abuser groomed me by telling me, that I as a middle schooler, I enticed him, a godly man. It was my fault that he couldn't control himself and not molest and rape me. #churchtoo#metoo
George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill. For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.
@imhanaabanana And most of us are only describing 1 incident or groups of incidents. Most of us get into a cycle of repeated abuse from multiple offenders. Either because we don't know how to stop it, think we deserve it, or know that it's never gonna amount to anything if we try to report it.
