Thank you @lynseyaddario for mentioning BlueCheck in your beautiful article about the short life and painful death of Sonya, may she rest in peace.

Not much surprises me anymore, but walking into the New York Stock Exchange for a meeting, then seeing our Tip of the Spear logo on every screen, absolutely floored me. This was an amazing opportunity to spread the word about https://t.co/wj1Q5n3PCU and the landmine crisis in Ukraine. I will continue to use every opportunity and platform I can to make sure we do not forget that there is a war raging in Ukraine and people are suffering.
“Hundreds of millions of extra dollars would be released for relief & reconstruction in war-affected Ukraine if aid programs were delivered by local organizations.”

Today, after a Russian bomb strike, part of Kharkiv was left without power, halting the metro and electric transport. Regrettably, twelve people were injured, and one person was killed. Kharkiv suffers daily from Russian terror.
Russian combat aviation must be destroyed wherever it is found, using all effective means. Striking Russian airfields is also entirely justified. We need a joint security decision with our partners.
The recent authorization of strikes on Russian territory near the border allowed us to destroy part of Russia's terrorist potential. But only part. We must fully protect people and lives from Russian terror. We need more long-range capabilities and appropriate weapons for Ukrainians. We are working on this with our partners, doing everything to expedite this decision.
The coming weeks must be as productive for Ukraine as recent ones. We have already secured decisions on new Patriots for Ukraine and are preparing for continued deliveries, working on additional air defense systems.
Long-range capabilities are not only about what we can achieve on the battlefield but also about when the war will end. The more we can do, the sooner we can force Russia into a just peace.
On #WorldRefugeeDay we stand with the Ukrainian people, like those pictured, who have had to say goodbye to their loved ones and homes - perhaps forever.
25% of Ukrainians have fled. Nearly 15M will require #humanitarianaid this year.

Like being in a cage: the story of children from the Novopetrivtsi boarding school
The first weeks of the full-scale war the children of the Novopetrivtsi boarding school spent in a cold basement. The kids almost did not go outside because of the constant shelling. Once they were almost killed by debris - they managed to run into the storage room in time. The basement was damp and cold. The adults somewhere got small stoves, which they used to warm the #children.
Russians occupied the village at the beginning of March. Military invaders quickly found a boarding school and children. They put a guard at the entrance. And they count the children every day. The director of the institution was threatened with a weapon so that she would not give the pupils to their relatives.
In July 2022, the occupiers forced 16 children and staff to pack up and leave the boarding school at gunpoint. The children were placed in cars separately with Russian drivers and taken first to Stepanivka in the #Kherson region. Later, they were transported across the #Dnipro to the left bank and then by train to Anapa. There, they stayed for some time in the Pearl of Russia camp.
Despite being captured, they managed to keep in touch with their loved ones, who prayed for the children's return to #Ukraine by all means.
Children in occupied territories are vulnerable and unprotected from the enemy's cruelty. Orphans are the most vulnerable category because no one can protect them. The Russians try in every way to use them for their criminal purposes and manipulate them. It is easy to kidnap these children, transport them to another territory, make their new documents, give them to a #Russian family for upbringing, force them to study in a Russian school, or become a member of any militarized children's organization.
We are happy that we have accomplished another successful mission. Each rescued child received a chance for a happy future in their native land.

#TheCranesCall, a documentary on the mission to secure accountability for war crimes in Ukraine, premiered at Tribeca. The powerful film was made by @HiddenLightPrd - congratulations to all the team.
We are proud to be collaborating with two impact partners, @Legacy_of_War and @BluCheckUkraine , highlighting their urgent work on the ground in Ukraine.
In partnership with @Legacy_of_War we are raising urgent funds for Mobile Women’s Healthcare Units.
In partnership with @BluCheckUkraine we are raising vital funds which will be distributed across their vetted organizations that have been evacuating the elderly children, providing emergency medical care and mental health services, building shelters, distributing food and cash assistance, removing unexploded ordnance, and more.
Without outside financial support these grass roots humanitarian groups simply cannot operate.
