@LatterGayPod My 10 yo niece attempted 2 weeks ago because the kids at church told her she was going to hell for being queer. My sister told her she doesn’t have to attend any more because IT ISNT SAFE! Do people have to die and report suicide attempts before we are taken seriously?

@RTmmane @TheAmberPicota You can parent with trust and still have boundaries. My kids know what I absolutely won’t tolerate and what I will. They had times they crossed those limits and had consequences. But they still trusted me, and I gave them chances to prove they had changed.

@CarerUnderCover This suggestion seems crucial. when I wake my adult autistic children in the morning, I try to give them time for at least one extra wakeup. “I’ll check back in 10 minutes.” Heads up on task changes helps people feel more in charge of themselves and less like being managed.

@mistercourts @sivori I have mobility impairments, but I would use grocery delivery even if I could go to the grocery store. Because of my ADHD and autism, being able to pick out things from a list in a quiet environment makes my life better. I am better able to make choices and control my budget.
