Her teenage son was overjoyed to learn his mom was going to make it back in time to watch him graduate highschool.
Her daughter, only 9 years old, was the ultimate mommy's girl and couldn't wait to run into her mom's arms.
But that never happened.
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, was just DAYS away from coming home before she was killed on March 1, 2026 in Iran.
An Iranian drone struck a command center at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait and Nicole was one of six Army Reserve soldiers who didn't make it back alive.
Nicole's husband, Joey, last spoke to her just two hours before the attack. She never responded the next morning.
Derek Hoff, Nicole’s brother, said his sister had spent 20 years in the military, and that this deployment was going to be her final one.
“She knew what she signed up for, and she did it because she had a job and a duty,” Hoff said.
She made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Please keep her family in your prayers. 🙏
