Working for the United States of America (#USA) especially its intelligence services has a huge cost.

The compulsory declassification of records of the intelligence services has done irreparable damage to many stooges of the US who betrayed their own countries for financial and other gains.

Indeed, elements in the Ghana Armed Forces and the Police Service who worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (#CIA) in the overthrow of the Nkrumah Government on February 24, 1966 have had all their secrets exposed to the world.

The latest agent to suffer the betrayal of the US establishment is a 20-year-old Afghan whose whole family collaborated with the US military in its invasion of Afghanistan.

According to his lawyer, Alma David, the young man has been deported to the Central African Republic by the Trump administration.

This is in spite of the fact that he was granted protection against deportation to Afghanistan by a US judge due to fears of persecution by the Taliban.

His deportation has been confirmed by advocacy organisations including Afghan Evac, a US-based group which assists Afghan allies, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Human Rights First.

This must be an important lesson for those who betray their countries in the service of US imperialism.

The Israeli film festival was boycotted by many sections of the Ghanaian community because of the #genocide in #Gaza and the imposition of apartheid rule in #Palestine.

To deal with this, the Embassy of Israel in Accra got the authorities of Achimota School and Accra Girls Senior High School to bus their students to fill up the space.

This is a clear abuse of students. They were used in a failed attempt to whitewash apartheid rule and genocide.

The authorities of the schools must be called upon to explain why they misused their students in this blatant attempt to justify apartheid and genocide.
