I’m gonna write this down at some point but a big issue Democrats face right now is that the two prominent factions—let’s call them left and center for shorthand—are both convinced that if the other faction would just relent, Democrats would be off to the races.

That creates a lack of incentive to do any real introspection when your faction inevitably whiffs on something. It also just ignores how Democrats have performed their best electorally in the modern era: neither fully left, nor fully center, but a secret third thing (heterodoxy).

I think people who have never won an election in a red state or a purple state should consider fewer lectures on what America wants.
In 80% Dem districts, hats off to getting younger, more liberal candidates elected. That is not the same as defeating MAGA at the ballot box. The people who have done that are folks like Slotkin, Gallego, Warnock, Ossoff, Rosen.
And if you think Hillary Clinton is unpopular in a Dem primary in MI, you are definitely online too much.
