@mjpittxx@RetroCoast The point is that SNAP benefits shouldn’t provide recipients with the ability to buy whatever junk they want. SNAP should be limited to a supplementary list of healthy food items. Sometimes you have to use the stick instead of the carrot.
@mjpittxx@RetroCoast How do any of them explain why we are forced to let people blow taxpayer money on objectively unhealthy food? Is there really no way to reform the system to exclude unhealthy items?
@mjpittxx@RetroCoast A broad list of random topics is not a proper defense of your position. It’s also not my job to substantiate the point you are trying to make.
Let’s try again: in your own words, why should SNAP benefits allow users to purchase objectively unhealthy food, and overly fancy food?
@jenco88@NateSilver538 And you don’t think their laws leave a lot to be desired? Letting ballots come in up to a week after an election presents the opportunity for fraud, which all election systems should limit.

@trouble1668@RonDeSantis@mrddmia Then there should be at least double the people able to assist in counting votes quickly. And even if there weren’t, we’re now past 2x as long as it takes in Florida, and they’re barely at 60% reporting in a PRIMARY. It’s almost like their system is set up this way on purpose.
@johnanonle@hydrogentechguy Which goes back to the question of why California is unique in how long they take to know how many votes were cast, and how long they take to count their votes.
@johnanonle@hydrogentechguy Maybe if California stopped sending out unsolicited ballots to everyone, and allowing for ballots to come in up to 7 days late, then they would know how many people have voted sooner.
@rechnen@colorblindk1d Trump conceded too.
“Sent a mob to the Capitol to interrupt the counting of the legitimate electors”
He said to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. Kinda the opposite of what you claim.
@bummerlog@BloatMcQueen@feelsdesperate Releasing results quickly would look even more suspicious, especially after media sources have been priming the public to expect results to take a while.
