I had a truly nightmarish experience with a host on @Airbnb and was told his account would be removed. Months later and it's still active and available for bookings. I'm speaking to them about it and this is their reasoning... wtf is a 'gradual punch' @Airbnb_uk?
@AirbnbHelp I would like to reiterate that I have done this and months later am still not hearing back. I'll send another now as well. And the weird messages from your support team keep getting weirder.
@SadCustomers@Airbnb@Airbnb_uk After months of speaking with them I can confidently say that it's actually worse than that... they actually put a lot of effort in. A simple question is not answered but manipulated into circles of nonsensical talk just to keep criminals on their platform.
@SadCustomers@Airbnb@Airbnb_uk It's absolutely vile. I was put in an extremely dangerous situation with a host from their site and they can't even pretend like they care or are going to do anything at all. At least they have the self-awareness to rename themselves something more appropriate I guess.
@AirbnbHelp I have been DMing you with no reply. Why is a dangerous listing still bookable on @Airbnb even after your investigations deemed him and his listing a hazard?
@AirbnbHelp If there is something you can do please let me know otherwise I’m going to be taking this to my lawyer who I’m sure will agree that this cannot be left as is.
Had the WORST experience with @Airbnb - predatory + inappropriate behaviour from host, piles of dead vermin, rat poop, sewage leaks, no power for days, etc and NO support from Airbnb despite multiple reports - I will be looking into safe alternatives for all travel.
@AirbnbHelp I have spent 2 weeks talking with your team and they offer nothing. I have sent emails with video evidence and get no reply. I’ve had a truly horrifying experience that has damaged me physically and mentally and Airbnb takes no responsibility and offers nothing to compensate.
Everything has changed from this point forward.
Thank you @101Darwins and @waynehhsiung for setting this president and showing that humanity is alive and well!
@SmithfieldTrial Whatever the verdict Wayne and Paul have made history and this day will be remembered and held as an example for all future rescues. Thank you both for your compassion ♥️
“Prosecutors would have you believe this case is about burglary, but in reality, it’s a case about whether people can rescue animals in dire conditions […]” he said. “I can’t think of a more significant animal law case in recent history.”

@SmithfieldTrial It’s difficult to imagine anyone being on the side of the prosecutor in this case. There is clearly at least 1 person in the jury, most likely linked to animal ag themselves, who has a bias towards animal captivity.
One of the most important life lessons I've learned in my 30 years on this planet is DO NOT try to sell anything on Facebook Marketplace if you value your sanity.
