Family farmers and ranchers deserve a fair price for their products; fair access to markets; and a fair deal for their businesses, their families, and their communities.

Ope! That’s us! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as standing up & getting loud to protect your community. We’re honored to be able to #getloud about the issues impacting family farmers & “the little guys” in our food system. There’s hope if we work together! #pulltogether
Exciting news! Today WFU released our new video "Get Loud: The Fight for the Soul of Agriculture" featuring WI farmers and @AustinFrerick. Check it out at https://t.co/KRyeq2espg
The food system is not serving farmers, laborers or consumers, said Danielle Endvick, communications director of the Chippewa Falls-based WFU. “Instead, it’s serving a handful of powerful monopolies who control nearly every aspect of the food supply ..." https://t.co/Y2VM9rQk6a

Yesterday was a big off-farm day. We traveled the circuit to ensure our lamb made it safely to freezers in neighborhoods like this! We love to hear how the folks who support our farm are doing & watch families grow/change over the years. Thank you all! Stay safe & eat well!
“White privilege doesn’t mean your life isn’t hard. Farming is tough.
But our struggles aren’t based on the color of our skin. That’s our privilege. Until we recognize that, we remain part of the problem. We — out here in rural America — need to be part of the solution.”
Until everyone can expect equal access to justice, none of us are free.
Solidarity with the our extended community in #minneapolis (& now, across the country) who demand equal access to justice is a moral necessity.
George Floyd's death is part of a long history of police brutality & racism.
If we stand by while others suffer, we are complicit. It's our moral duty to reflect on our prejudices, rethink institutions & demand structural change. #JusticeForGeorgeFlyod

Habitat is important. Food production & nature can coexist. We use rotational grazing to benefit wild neighbors. More grassland birds make our pastures home each year. We work to spot & protect their well-hidden nests for future evening sing-alongs.

We have had two new calves join the Blue Ox herd so far this spring. They are best buds and constantly conspiring - much to the chagrin of their mothers.
