A system that celebrates economic growth but treats the very people who produce that growth like dispensable cogs of a machine.
And when they demand for safer and better working conditions, all they're met with is apathy and intimidation.
Norman Finkelstein cevap veriyor:
Rahmetli babam Auschwitz'deydi. Rahmetli annem Majdanek toplama kampındaydı. Ailemin her iki taraftan da tüm üyeleri katledildi.
Someone made an analysis of Xiao Wuyi's action scenes from the MV! It is a combination of solid action sequence + military tactics.
About the flaming sword sequence:
Xiao Wuyi uses a Flaming Zhanmadao (a horse-chopping saber). It is one of the most lethal long-handled heavy weapons in ancient China, measuring about 2.2 meters in length. When facing a siege, it leverages the martial arts principle of "one inch longer, one inch stronger."
In a desperate situation surrounded by enemies from multiple directions, a 360-degree sweep is the most highly effective move for a long-handled heavy weapon. With the addition of flames, the lethality is doubled. Any enemy entering this radius is sliced in two; even heavy armor cannot withstand it.
The opponent uses allied troops as cannon fodder. In the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, this tactic was called "Driving Pawns to Ascend First" (Qu Zu Xian Deng). It forces frontline soldiers to act as human meat shields, draining the enemy's stamina to create an opening for the main attack force.
The Flaming Zhanmadao has a fatal limitation—the burning time is only 3 to 5 minutes. The enemy uses human shields to stall for time until the flames burn out. Once extinguished, the weapon's psychological deterrence drops by 90%, and without the armor-piercing high heat, ordinary shields can block the blade.
Xiao Wuyi leaps to charge a downward cleave, followed by a "double-ring returning blade slash." He spins continuously for 720 degrees, charging his power while forming a closed ring of fire around his body, preventing enemies from getting close.

the video brings up the character “侠” (xia) in wuxia which I didn’t elaborate on. the person radical on this character (亻) implies that it has to do with a person. rather than someone merely skilled in martial arts, this “侠” refers to a code of conduct and moral ideals
kttph always gave me a kind of “old-school” costume drama vibe, and I swear ole director gao has nothing to do with it 😂
I think it’s bc of how they spend lots of time on political intrigue, moral dilemmas, character growth, loyalty, honor, family, and duty…where romance just supports the story, not becoming the entire story
altho haven’t seen the drama yet, together with the emphasis of “侠” and an actor who insists on doing his own stunts and having real fight scenes from start to finish—even if it requires weeks of extra work and cooperation from the entire production team, I can tell that the sincerity poured into making this drama will be clear to the audience
at a glance of released materials, you can tell they use props with real weight, costumes with high-quality fabrics, designed significant & intricate accessories, and hired real actors for battlefield formations (who complained so much about the smoke and hot heat during filming lol, it was hard work indeed ✊🏻)
high hopes for #keytothephoenixheart ❤️

Just watched a video where a woman writer shared how her mum came over to help. Her mum did all the housework, laundry, cooking, cleaning,nd childcare so she could focus. During her mum’s stay, writer TRIPLED her daily word count.
Then she said something that hit hard. Most men have this kind of support their entire lives. Next time you call a man productive, consider that..
same government which cuts off thousands of habitable trees for adani and ambani
insane how all the moral burden is on the youth while government keeps making “mistakes”
Today is World Ocean Day and our oceans are being bombarded by all kinds of threats like pollution, over-fishing, acidification, etc…
But as a meteorologist, I’ll discuss the rapid warming!
We often focus on air temperatures. But the real story is in the oceans.
More than 90% of the excess heat trapped by greenhouse gases is retained in the ocean.
Each year a new assessment is released, and in 2025 the world’s oceans gained an astounding 23 zettajoules (ZJ) of heat.
In relatable terms that’s equivalent to:
🌊 37 years of humanity’s current annual energy consumption
🌊 About 380 million Hiroshima-sized atomic bombs worth of energy
🌊 More than 200 times the world’s annual electricity generation
And that’s just one year!
Why does this matter?
Warmer oceans can fuel marine heatwaves, coral bleaching and death, sea level rise through thermal expansion, contribute to bigger land heatwaves, and provide more energy for heavy rainfall and tropical cyclones. Ocean warming also stresses marine ecosystems that support fisheries, biodiversity, and coastal economies around the world.
The ocean has shielded us from much greater atmospheric warming by absorbing the vast majority of Earth’s excess heat. But that protection comes with growing consequences for ocean health.
On this World Ocean Day, it’s worth remembering that the ocean is not just responding to climate change, it’s bearing the brunt! We must protect our oceans.

In 2005, when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited JNU, a section of students greeted him with black flags and slogans of protest. The university administration issued notices to students and considered disciplinary action.
In his speech, Singh invoked Voltaire:
"I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it."
When the administration moved against the protesters, Singh reportedly intervened. Years later, then Vice-Chancellor B.B. Bhattacharya recalled the Prime Minister's message to him. "Please be lenient, Sir."
What stands out is not that a Prime Minister defended the right of students to protest against him. What stands out is that we now regard such conduct as exceptional when it should be the minimum standard in a constitutional democracy.
a lot of people dont care about insect biomass collapse bc when they hear we are losing 2.5% of the insect biomass per year they just imagine the cockroach and housefly population decreasing by that much. they dont realize those are among the only ones that will remain unbothered
