Such a fun orchid mounting class tonight in Christiansburg! Hosted by Jungle Gem Plant Co. and Humble Hen Farm & Nursery of New Castle. Chose 3 new orchids I've never grown before:
Gptm. Arlene Armour 'Conching'
Brassidium Golden Gamine 'White Knight'
Tolumnia Popoki 'Mitzi'
Clo. Cheryl Erins 'SVO ll' x Ctsm. Dentigrianum 'SVO' HCC/ AOS grown by BROSoV member Pam Keebler. She is also the grower of yesterday's post, Dendrobium Hibiki. Gorgeous!
Peristeria elata, the national flower of Panama, growing in a BROSoV member's basement growspace. It just started blooming and is 66 inches tall (my husband is 6'1" for reference). This is such a fun, unusual orchid to grow and is really thriving under lights.

Bc Bernice Foster blooming at our Community Arboretum, it's a personal favorite and very similar to Bl. Yellow Bird. Picked this orchid back in May from another BROSoV member and was curious about the flowers. Gorgeous 💛
Otoglossum chiriquense with 2 spikes this year. Exotic and fragrant this is a real summer treat. This one arrived over 6 years from Burnham Nurseries and is getting bigger each year! 🌿
