1. Public testnet is live
Rialo now has a publicly accessible testnet with 4 sample apps you can try out directly. But this is still purely for testing no third party apps (dApps) have actually launched on the network yet. That means the ecosystem is still very early stage.
2. Rialo Points Program
This is a points-based reward system. You just go to their playground site (https://t.co/9ez2oCGGRH), connect your wallet, and automatically get 20 points as a starter bonus. Its purpose is to "track" who's been active early crypto projects typically run this kind of system before an official token launch.

3. Rialo Predict
One of the apps in the playground is a prediction feature you make predictions about something, and that activity gets logged as usage history on your account. It's basically a way to build up activity history to look engaged in the ecosystem.
4. Retroactive rewards
The Rialo team says early contributors (people active back in the devnet/testnet phase) and anyone who already holds a Discord role will still count toward future rewards. So earlier participation doesn't go to waste.

5. No token yet
This is the key point: Rialo still hasn't announced an official token no ticker, no total supply, and no clarity on how points would convert to tokens (if that ever happens). So all the "points" people are farming right now are purely speculative, with no guaranteed payout.
6. Mainnet still targeted for 2026, no fixed date
They're still targeting a 2026 mainnet launch, but there's no confirmed date. The technical challenge: they need to prove their architecture (RISC-V + SVM, plus smart contracts pulling external data directly) is as secure as established oracle networks like Chainlink, which have years of track record.

Bottom line:
Right now it's purely a "positioning" phase no real money at stake, just time and effort spent on the testnet and points farming, in hopes of a payout if the project ships and launches a token.

1/ been digging past the marketing numbers, found something actually worth talking about: Rialo brought on Jan Camenisch

2/ if that name doesn't ring a bell he's one of the most cited cryptographers in privacy-preserving systems research, not a random "advisor" logo for the deck

3/ most L1s treat privacy as a bolt-on feature or outsource it to a separate rollup. hiring someone at that level to build programmable privacy into the base layer is a different kind of bet

4/ pair that with the investor list — Pantera leading, plus Coinbase Ventures, Mysten Labs, Fabric, Hashed, Mirana all in the same round. that's not a spray-and-pray cap table, that's funds that do deep technical diligence before writing checks

5/ still watching how devnet → testnet → mainnet plays out before calling this a win. but if you're only tracking the TPS marketing numbers and missing who they're hiring to build the actual cryptography, you're looking at the wrong metric. @RialoHQ @JanCamenisch @ericargent31113 @itachee_x

THREAD 2: don't just believe the numbers in the deck

1/ok real talk, Rialo's deck has some wild numbers:

interop 10x+ faster than top bridges
oracle feeds 40x+ faster than top oracles
50ms block time
read path down to 100ms

before anyone starts repeating these as fact, a few things worth asking 🧵

2/almost every crypto project posts numbers like this from testnet or ideal-case benchmarks. mainnet with validators spread across the actual globe under real load is a completely different story

3/50ms block time — is that tested with validators actually distributed worldwide, or a bunch of nodes sitting close together in one region making it look better than it'll actually be

4/also "faster than top bridges/oracles" — which ones exactly? LayerZero, Wormhole, Chainlink, Pyth? if they don't name it, that's usually because the comparison was picked to make Rialo look better, not because it's the fairest one

5/not saying they're lying. just saying a number with no methodology attached is a marketing slide, not proof. if anyone's seen an actual benchmark report drop it below, genuinely curious @RialoHQ @ericargent31113

THREAD 1: Why Rialo isn't playing the normal L1 game

1/been staring at the Rialo architecture for a bit and ngl this isn't the usual "we're faster than X" pitch

most L1s pick one thing to be good at. speed, or privacy, or interop. Rialo is trying to do all of it at once in one stack 🧵

2/like look at this breakdown:

one account across chains (Omni Account)
latency down to nanoseconds (Execution Engine, Read Path)
privacy + compliance baked in (IPC, VM+REX)
feels like Web2 (Edge, Cruise)

that's 4 different hard problems, not 1

3/if this actually works the way they say, it's not just "another chain in the list." it becomes the thing other chains end up needing to plug into. that's a different tier of ambition

4/but that's also the risk. if literally one part underdelivers (say REX ends up slow when it's under real load, not just a demo), the whole "we do everything" pitch gets used against them

when you claim less you get judged less harshly. Rialo set the bar high themselves

5/honestly this is the kind of bet that either ages really well or becomes a cautionary tale. no in between. watching this one closely
