BREAKING: LOL! Premier Wab Kinew of Manitoba, Canada gives the PERFECT response to Trump trying to rename Lake Ontario to "Lake America," says he's like a washed up musician.
This is just too perfect...
"You know when like a rock band is really over the hill and you see them like in a casino playing some song from like 50 years ago?" said Kinew. "I think that's the part of Donald Trump's presidency we're at now."
"Like he thought he had a real hit, a real golden oldie with the Gulf of Mexico and he's trying to bring back that," he added. "He's trying to play the hits for his base but I think everybody here thinks it's a little sad and it's not his best work."
Earlier today, Trump held a big pathetic event in the Oval Office to officially sign an order directing the pointless renaming. The move comes amidst his new, self-destructive trade war with Canada and escalating, deranged rhetoric against our closest ally.
"The lake change, the Lake of America, was something I've been thinking about for a long time, actually," Trump said during the signing.
The renaming has gone over like a lead balloon with average Americans who are struggling to afford groceries, gas, and rent due to Trump's disastrous Iran War. Everyone outside of the MAGA cult sees this as a transparent attempt to distract from myriad failures. It's akin to jangling keys in front of a cat.
Please ❤️ and share if you're not falling for this BS!
The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.
The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.
Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.
Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele. Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action. Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired. We send our deepest condolences to all who loved them.

I remember 1974 being in my room at the Hyatt on Sunset in LA and I heard someone playing deep and fiery guitar in the room next door. I thought “Boy, I wish THAT guy was in the band!” I looked over the balcony… He was. It was Ace. This is my favorite photo of us…
Super Sky Point to Ace Frehley. When I was in 1st grade, KISS felt like a supernatural force. Half men, half mythology, and 100% badassery. You simply can’t write the story of pop culture and music in the 70s without “The Space Ace.” Let’s put on Shock Me and light one up. #RIP
My wonderful wife was just a little jealous about our return to work. I came back to the roar of thousands of fans, and she came back to the horror of thousands of emails. #EndZoneVersusInBox 🤷🏽♂️🙏🏿 @CFLonTSN@cfl#PaperPlates
Actor Jeff Daniels on Donald Trump’s 2nd term: “We’ve lost decency. We’ve lost civility. We’ve lost respect for the rule of law. We’ve normalized verbal abuse. We’ve normalized bullying. Out the window goes character, integrity. We’re supposed to elect the best of us, not the worst of us. He’s everything that’s wrong with not just America but being a human being.”
Thank you @cityofwinnipeg, the @Wpg_BlueBombers, and the greatest fans in the world. The energy in the stadium was unreal, electric from start to finish. That was, without a doubt, the most unforgettable moment I’ve ever experienced in #Winnipeg. My heart is full. #PaperPlates
