If one of your NY resolutions is to swim more, remember to increase your training volume gradually, spend time working (slowly) on your technique, allow time for rest and recovery and support your swimming with strength and mobility exercises.
And have fun & enjoy the journey.
@SimonDGriffiths A great skill to deploy when OWS. You can breathe to the lee of the wind, with your head providing shelter for your mouth so that you donโt get sea spray in the mouth & your face doesnโt get slapped by the waves. The skill is also useful when wanting to face away from the sun.
