Owner of Blue Door Smokehouse, sneakerhead, #dad, odds are I hate your politics, favorite foods are cheese fries, biscuits and gravy, and bagels w/cream cheese

@ForchtBank what has happened to your customer care call center? Used to get the sweetest ladies on there immediately. Now, long holds and usually have to leave a call back number and wait hours.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@Slogs1231 Fuck man. Sorry to hear that.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@SquareSupport Yes I guess that’s our setup. Older terminal and a star printer. It’s worked for years.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@SquareSupport our receipts recently changed and stopped including the footer with the receipt number. We aren’t finding a solution in the settings. Please advise. Thanks.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@SquareSupport I am away from restaurant now but I will
Try Friday. However, we have been using Square for 12 years and are generally very effective at our own troubleshooting so I believe we may have some kind of bug.

@SquareSupport That option does not appear to be available in the receipts section.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@SquareSupport we are having an issue with two aspects. Card reader is not working but has power. Also order tickets are printing very short. Both happened after app update.

@Alexfeinberg Those short ribs 🤩

@calleymeans We are financially stable, but we also value living below our means and investing in our future, and as the cook and grocery shopper of the house, low cost meals are my specialty. I am a trained and experienced chef, and I’d be happy to help.

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@calleymeans I am not a creator or popular by any means, but I am a chef with 25+ years experience and two children that were on track to develop early chronic illnesses related to diet and lifestyle. We are making the changes and prioritizing real food.

To assign to employees. This is probably a 70+ million dollar a year store and your store manager is intentionally cutting labor to look better as the zone store manager. Your customers are suffering so he can gain favor. However, James Flowers at this store is exemplary

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@kroger another failure to provide the most basic customer service at Tates Creek in lexington, KY. 11:19 am on a Sunday and no employee to bag groceries. $120 receipt and providing your labor for you. Assistant manager also disgruntled for having 100 less hours available

Kung pao chicken in to p of stuffing and broccoli casserole is kind of fire

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

Putting my Chinese leftovers on top of my Thanksgiving leftovers because I’m kind of drunk

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@KimDotcom @grok Yes and we are extremely proud of our accomplishments

[Jeff Newman @BluegrassChef]

@kroger 10:05 am Thursday 11/13/25. Big line, even more people behind me. One cashier, no bagger. Well over $1000 worth of groceries in line but the store manager said he can’t afford to keep a bagger clocked in. Pretty big lie for a store that probably does 60 million a year

@BigBlueBrandon2 @BoilerMuse Kentucky fan with a Purdue wife. Mackey is a great arena with a great atmosphere even if the rafters are void of banners.
