A member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League — designated by the FBI as a "known violent extremist organization" — was allegedly building explosive devices to target the home of Nerdeen Kiswani in a chilling act of political violence. The defendant reportedly planned to flee to Israel following the attack.
This comes amid an alarming rise in threats and violence across the country targeting Palestinian human rights advocates.
I am thankful that the NYPD and FBI thwarted this plot, which could have endangered Nerdeen’s life and those of other New Yorkers.
Let me be clear: We will not tolerate violent extremism in our city. No one should face violence for their political beliefs or their advocacy. I am relieved that Nerdeen is safe.
Our city must meet hate with solidarity, and meet fear with an unshakable commitment to justice and to one another.
Religious Cults are gonna get us all killed. Men are so stupid. They want to dominate the world in the name of a Man they believe lives in the sky. There is no man in the sky. The man is here on Earth and he’s UNWELL. There are clouds in the sky and they release precipitation. That’s it baby. How do we rehabilitate and deprogram an entire group of humans who believe God is calling them to commit genocide? Meanwhile God, the real God who only sees & never speaks, is watching all of this go down thru the eyes of the women & children these men continue to kill.
“As long as their is an occupation, Apartheid, Genocide, Ethenic cleansing, Palestinians are going to take whatever means they have to defend themselves..”
—Palestinians-American Activist to Z10nist Piers Morgan.
Newly freed 16-year-old Palestinian American Mohammed Ibrahim describes nine and a half months in Israeli military detention marked by starvation, beatings, extreme overcrowding, and untreated disease. He says guards routinely pepper-sprayed cells, confiscated mattresses as punishment, and beat boys for laughing, singing, exercising, or improvising games. Scabies spread unchecked, food was deliberately inadequate, and medical care was routinely denied.
After his transfer to Megiddo prison, a facility Israeli rights groups have described as part of a “network of torture camps,” Mohammed witnessed the death of a 17-year-old cellmate after prolonged starvation and untreated illness. Mohammed himself lost nearly a third of his body weight and says he feared he might die.
Hundreds of Palestinian children remain in Israeli military detention, many without charge. Jasper Nathaniel’s full report: “Mohammed Ibrahim’s Stolen Year” is linked below.
At a complete, utter loss.
Journalists @AnasAlSharif0, Anas Al-Hasi, and Mohammed Quraiqa were killed after the IDF bombed the Al-Jazeera tent at Al-Shifa Hospital.
It was 673 days of non-stop coverage by Anas and his team. The Israelis have killed over 250 journalists in Gaza & killed one of the most prolific voices because now the plan is to clean up the crime scene in front of a world that has allowed every crime to be committed against the Palestinians.
Innalilahi wa Innalilahi raji’un.
People in Gaza are facing an unbearable dilemma: risk your family starving or risk your life to maybe get food at an Israeli-US distribution site.
This is not humanitarian aid. It is slaughter.

I’ve seen the silhouettes of so many people—so many children—burning alive, that I can’t look at fire anymore without feeling sick to my stomach.
WE
MUST
STOP
THIS
MASSACRE.
May the Palestinians forgive us.
Turkish PhD student Rumeysa Ozturk was detained by masked U.S. ICE agents yesterday while heading to an Iftar dinner in Massachusetts.
Ozturk, who held a valid F-1 visa and studied at Tufts University, was reportedly being watched for two days before her arrest.
She was on the phone with her mother when she was arrested.
Her visa had been suddenly terminated—reasons still unclear.
Ozturk had co-authored an op-ed urging Tufts to recognize the Palestinian genocide and divest from firms linked to Israel.
She was also listed on Canary Mission, a site that blacklists pro-Palestine activists.
JISOO says she’ll spend her days off just resting in bed:
“If I lie down for too long on one side and it gets too hot, I’ll move over to the other side and lie down.”
An Israeli bombardment today struck near the Al-Aman Kindergarten in North Gaza, where we were holding a mental health support initiative for children. The mood quickly shifted from joy and celebration to panic and fear. Thankfully, no children inside the kindergarten, whose name ironically means "safety" in English, were harmed in the attack.
The Democratic party’s soul can’t be saved. It is soulless like the rest of the government that slaughtered countless Palestinians. Slaughtered indigenous, Black, and oppressed nationalities across the globe and within the belly of the best. Indict them. Don’t elect them.
