“Settlers sprayed pepper spray on my face while I was working in an olive grove… [The police] told us we weren't allowed to speak to the settlers.”
In the West Bank, settler attacks are interrupting Palestinians' daily lives, driving mental health needs:

Sexual and reproductive healthcare is essential at every stage of life, yet access to it is becoming increasingly limited in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

We are deeply disturbed by reports of the arrest of Dr Dima Mohammed Amin, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, from her home in the West Bank, Palestine. Dr Dima is the latest victim in Israel's systematic campaign of hunting down and detaining Palestinian medics.
She joins Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, Dr Iyad Al-Rantisi, Dr Mohammed Obeid and scores of others in arbitrary Israeli detention. They have not been charged with any offence; they were simply treating patients. That is not a crime.
We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all healthcare workers arbitrarily detained by Israeli forces.
It’s nearly 100 days since the Ebola disease outbreak was declared in DRC, and communities aren't receiving adequate support to curb the spread.

For thousands of women in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, reaching healthcare is fraught with obstacles.
Seeing a doctor, obtaining contraceptives, attending pre-natal checkups, or receiving care after sexual assault all pose risks because of ongoing violence:

Armed clashes erupted in and around Baidoa town, South-West state, Somalia, this morning. Dr Elshafie Mohammed, our country representative in Somalia, provides an update ⬇️
“At Bay Regional hospital, where we work in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, teams received 71 wounded people, including women and children. Four deaths were recorded, including one young woman. Patients continue to arrive, and these figures are expected to rise.
“Baidoa hosts more than half a million people displaced by conflict, drought and insecurity, many of whom depend on the town’s already limited health services. These services are stretched beyond capacity. Each new cycle of violence places further pressure on the health system and pushes lifesaving care further out of reach for those who need it.
“It is devastating to see civilians caught up in violence again. Civilians, health facilities, and medical staff must be protected, and wounded people must be able to reach medical care safely.
“At Bay Regional hospital, MSF supports the emergency, maternity, paediatrics, nutrition, and outpatient departments.”

Following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Colombia on Monday, 10 August, we express our deepest condolences and solidarity with all those affected. Our teams are currently assessing medical and humanitarian needs, prioritising the Valle del Cauca and Chocó regions, to determine the most effective way to provide support. We are also monitoring the situation in the other affected regions.
