@DLumsden_MP The ideologically driven UK education system regards strict discipline as oppressive and damaging to youths. Lack of discipline in schools, however, allows the oppression and damage of bullying and violence to flourish unchecked.
@Mr_Andrew_Fox Friendly advice: you will need to write much more succinctly to capture the attention of doom-scrolling readers. Less is more. Your post is far too wordy and should be reduced by 75%.
@MarieTidball@andyburnham Local councils always had the power to deny planning permission. They failed to exercise their powers then, so why should we believe they will do the right thing now?
@andyburnham Simple solution: revoke planning permission. Why was it granted in the first place? Central government allowed local councils to do as they wished. The folly of devolution writ large.
@KemiBadenoch Clearly you were caught on the back foot by this situation and had no choice but to pretend that you were not. Better vetting is needed to prevent a recurrence.
@andyburnham Your body language reeks of complacency and arrogance. Watch yourself on silent and see if you agree. What is happening isn't democracy. Your honeymoon will be very brief!
@afneil Britain's "better nature" is the laughingstock of rogue states. UK political leaders are gullible, ignorant and profligate with taxpayer money.
@trussliz The Foreign Office had a preferred diplomatic candidate and clearly passively resisted Starmer's fanciful Mandelson option. The PM didn't play the game and now he's paying the price.
@bphillipsonMP@HigginsKieron@ScottishLabour The irony of your post is that the people actually did not vote for this massive additional cost to the taxpayer. Labour has total contempt for the wishes and needs of the electorate. It pursues its ideological goals in a vacuum.
