He says he and fellow farmers in Pulilan, Bulacan have yet to receive the ₱5,000 fuel subsidy from the government, forcing him to borrow just to make ends meet.

While other farmers are considering stopping operations because of mounting losses, Joson says he opts otherwise.

“Mahirap mapagod. Mahirap huminto. ‘Pag hinto mo, wala na. Hindi ka na kikita,” he says.
