A sensible approach to advancing the President’s plan in Gaza by @WSJ:

“…Israelis are united on the end goal. Getting there will likely require doing more to help a friendly Board of Peace.”

Israel can take some incremental steps to help the Board of Peace for Gaza before Israeli voters go to the polls this month.

Over the past several months, the Board of Peace has assembled an exceptional team of financial, procurement, and compliance professionals to establish rigorous, best-in-class fiduciary standards and oversight mechanisms. These safeguards are central to implementing the President’s Comprehensive Plan for Peace in Gaza, ensuring that every dollar is deployed effectively, strengthening the capacity of the Palestinian technocratic committee to execute on its mandate, and maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability.

[Nickolay E. MLADENOV @nmladenov]

I have a received a letter from @cogatonline on the suspension of private-sector goods coordination into Gaza as a result of reports of threats and coercion by Hamas. As I have warned repeatedly, such practices are unacceptable and must end immediately. The intimidation of merchants and interference in the supply chain only deepen the suffering of Gaza's civilians.

These developments demonstrate why the rapid deployment of the @NCAG, supported by the International Stabilization Force (ISF), is urgently needed. Civilian supplies, humanitarian assistance and commercial activity must be protected from coercion, exploitation and interference.

All parties should work with the @BoardOfPeace and move without delay to implement the Comprehensive Plan endorsed by #UNSC Resolution 2803, including the arrangements required for NCAG and ISF operations in Gaza. This includes the decommissioning of weapons, the transition to legitimate transitional governance and the protection of humanitarian and commercial supply chains.

[Nickolay E. MLADENOV @nmladenov]

Yesterday in Cairo, @NCAG and @giz_gmbh signed an important MOU. Practical technical cooperation on services, recovery and capacity-building is essential to moving forward. None of this is easy, but sustained support from partners, under Palestinian leadership through NCAG, is necessary to translate the Comprehensive Plan and #UNSC Resolution 2803 into real tangible improvements for people in Gaza @BoardOfPeace

An important partnership with an important partner.

The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Support Recovery and Reconstruction in the Gaza Strip

Cairo — October 14, 2026
The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) signed yesterday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the NCAG’s temporary headquarters in Cairo, establishing a framework for technical cooperation to support recovery and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Ali Shaath, Chief Commissioner of NCAG, and Dr. Alexander Solyga, GIZ Country Director, in the presence of Mr. Nikolay Mladenov, High Representative of the Board of Peace; Mr. Martin Mauthe-Kaether, Head of Development Cooperation at the German Representative Office in Ramallah; Ms. Valerie Köbele- Ennaji, Foreign Affairs Adviser at the German Embassy in Cairo; and members of NCAG.

The MoU establishes a flexible framework for technical cooperation across several key areas, including economic recovery, institutional development, municipal services, social protection, education, employment, and planning, as well as essential sectoral services such as water, agriculture, and energy.
Under this framework, GIZ will provide technical expertise and specialized advisory services, and contribute to needs assessments and capacity-building.
These efforts will support the work of NCAG’s Planning and Implementation Unit and its commissioners, while strengthening the NCAG’s institutional and operational capacities.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Shaath expressed his appreciation to Germany and GIZ for their support, praising GIZ’s longstanding contribution in the Gaza Strip. He underscored the importance of international partnerships in supporting the NCAG’s efforts and enabling it to fulfill its responsibilities.
Dr. Shaath explained that the MoU builds upon numerous ongoing Palestinian-led efforts, carried out in cooperation with international partners. He affirmed that the implementation of the areas of cooperation will be led by the NCAG, in line with the urgent priorities and needs of the Gaza Strip, and in coordination with the relevant Palestinian institutions.

Dr. Ali Shaath stressed the importance of translating this understanding into practical steps, reaffirming the NCAG’s commitment to working transparently and effectively with its partners to achieve tangible results that positively impact the lives of our people in the Gaza Strip.

Thanks to @POTUS & his leadership team of @jaredkushner, @SEPeaceMissions, and @SecRubio for delivering a ceasefire in Gaza last year & laying the foundations for a brighter future. “This is a huge moment in the history of the Middle East.”

[Fox News World @FNCGlobalNews]

ONE YEAR IN: Trump's Gaza ceasefire and 20-point peace plan hits its one-year anniversary with $18 billion in reconstruction pledges, U.N. endorsement, and growing international support — including from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who concedes it is 'the only framework' with enough leverage to work.

The Board of Peace has secured commitments from the EU, which gathered $1 billion for early recovery, and an International Stabilization Force drawing troops from Kazakhstan, Morocco, Albania, and Kosovo to oversee demilitarization. Next up: a $2.45 billion, six-month recovery push covering rubble clearance, temporary housing, tunnel destruction, and unexploded ordnance removal.

Notably absent from Gaza's future: UNRWA, which the Board of Peace says 'fails' its litmus tests for trusted partners. The USAID Office of the Inspector General is currently investigating over 1,500 UNRWA employees for alleged involvement in terror groups.

The return of the hostages was a historic achievement. The signing in Sharm El Sheikh represented a commitment to what comes next.

What made that day remarkable was that countries put aside profound differences to pursue something bigger: ending the war and creating the conditions for lasting peace.

I’m grateful to President Trump for his leadership, President el-Sisi for hosting us, and our partners in Israel, Qatar and Turkey, for making this agreement possible.

The signing was a milestone, but the true measure of its success will be what we build from it.

A secure Israel. A peaceful and rebuilt Gaza. A more integrated region where children grow up with greater opportunity and less fear than their parents knew.

There is much work ahead, and progress will not be easy or linear. But with big dreams and hard work, the possibility of a better future is real, and worth the effort.

The greatest achievement of diplomacy is not just the conflicts we end, but the futures we make possible.

[Board of Peace @BoardOfPeace]

A year ago, President Trump’s leadership ended a war that had no end in sight. Since then, a series of achievements have built the foundations for a new Gaza: an enduring ceasefire, the return of every hostage both living and deceased, the establishment of the Board of Peace and a Palestinian technocratic administration to run Gaza, and a fully costed recovery plan. This will be a long and arduous process, but we are making real progress.

[Jared Kushner @jaredkushner]

One year ago today, all 20 remaining living Israeli hostages finally came home after two years of unimaginable suffering in Gaza.

Welcoming them home and seeing them reunited with their families was one of the most special moments of my life. After so much pain, uncertainty, and heartbreak, seeing families embrace their loved ones again was something I will never forget.

The hostages endured hell, and their families demonstrated extraordinary strength, courage, and resilience through the darkest of times.

@SEPeaceMissions and I are deeply grateful to @POTUS for his leadership and determination, @VP, @SecRubio, and our partners in Israel, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey - particularly @netanyahu, @AmbDermer, @TamimBinHamad, @MBA_AlThani_, Ali Al-Thwadi, @AlsisiOfficial, General Hasan, @EgyptForeignMin, @RTErdogan, @HakanFidan, @ikalin1, and many others who worked tirelessly to make this day possible.

Above all, today belongs to the freed hostages and their families. Their strength and determination will always inspire me.

11/ The bottom line: The Board of Peace has one interest, and that is peace. Too many actors have become invested in perpetuating conflict, from terrorists and extremists to an international architecture that has too often managed conflict rather than resolved it. We have no intention of perpetuating that cycle. Our mandate is clear: to fundamentally transform the conditions that have sustained decades of violence, so that the atrocities of October 7 and the devastating war and suffering that followed can never happen again. That is the mission, and we intend to see it through.

[Board of Peace @BoardOfPeace]

1/ The Telegraph calls this an “investigation” into the Board of Peace, and by its own admissions and reporting, it fails to identify a single Board of Peace contract, procurement decision or diplomatic action influenced by the commercial interests it describes. There’s a whole lot of insinuation and very little substance conveniently wrapped into a sensationalized headline. Let us explain. 🧵

[The Telegraph @Telegraph]

Five of its board members are linked to a small Israeli arms company which has just landed a US military contract worth up to $150m (£112m). The company makes AI-driven rifle sights and drones that have been battle tested in Gaza.

A second business is involved in financing the building of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, and a third is being pursued in the US courts for allegedly helping Hamas conceal its Gaza terror tunnels in the run-up to the Oct 7 attacks.

These are a few of the potential conflicts of interest a Telegraph investigation has uncovered in Donald Trump’s board of peace ⤵️

10/ The Board of Peace is made up of experienced professionals and volunteers working on an extraordinarily difficult mission. We welcome feedback and are committed to radical transparency, but there is a difference between legitimate accountability and manufacturing controversy where none exists. We have real work to do in Gaza, with enormous challenges still ahead, and that is where our attention will remain.
