@PastorHamilton8 Mowing the lawn: a neat property so you're not an offense in the community and allows others seeing you perform normal tasks thereby breaking down walls.
Finishing a great week of #ProfessionalDevelopment at @foundingforward studying the "Medal of Honor Legacy: Vietnam" and the @MedalofHonorCDP with a delicious banquet. Thank you Candelle Richman and Jason Raia for your wonderful time!

Today's lectures from Dr. Mark Thomas (@LaSalleUniv): "Soviet View of the Vietnam War" & "US Lessons Learned", Jackie Kemper (@foundingforward Teacher Ambassador): "Vietnam War & Graffiti Art", and Lori Rech representing the @BRInstitute: "Vietnam from Multiple Perspectives".
David and Ric, I was in Washington, DC, today with a group of teachers from all over the country. We paused at The Wall to tell your story. The Coates family has sacrificed much for which a grateful nation is thankful.

Remembering Capt. Sterling K. Coates @USMC#KIA (age 29) #OTD in 1967 in Quang Tri Province during Operation Buffalo in South Vietnam. Plymouth (PA) HS, @WyomingSeminary, @NavalAcademy graduate. He is remembered on Panel 22 East, Line 101, on The Wall @VVMF@SoldiersWhisper π’πΊπΈ
@saniyafatma1278 I was in 4th grade. We had a patriotic play involving all students in the spring.
On July 4, I remember fireworks on the river commons.
We also had special church services as that weekend coincided with the church's anniversary.

Unfortunately, the weather may have disrupted parts of the @Freedom250 celebration, but we were grateful to open the beautiful @USDA building to provide shelter. And then this happenedβ¦ these incredible patriots spontaneously broke into the National Anthem.πΊπΈ
I love my country.
Today, the Gary Sinise Foundation turns 15. π
Fifteen years ago, Gary Sinise founded this organization with a simple mission: to serve and honor our nation's defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Since then, thanks to the generosity of the American people, we've built specially adapted smart homes, supported wounded heroes, served families of the fallen, strengthened first responder departments, provided life-changing equipment and resources, and created countless moments of healing, hope, and gratitude.
While we're proud of what we've accomplished together over the last 15 years, we're even more inspired by what lies ahead.
As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to join us in continuing this mission of service. Thanks to the generosity of the McBunch and Jansky families, every dollar donated today will be matched up to $650K.
Thank you for being part of our first 15 years. Here's to the next 15. ππΊπΈ
