@JamesGurne65348 @DLand91 Always hear IC needs multiple engine & chassis suppliers & innovation & if those things would help, I'd be for them but usually only hear that from those who wouldn't be involved in the financial part of the equation. I miss innovation but like you said, things have changed.

@JamesGurne65348 @DLand91 Owners had just spent big$ to go to rear engines in mid60s. Turbines came along & owners voted to restricted intake so much, they weren't competitive for one reason. They weren't going to spend big$ to switch again. I remember innovation & it sounds great but it comes at a cost.

@JamesGurne65348 @DLand91 I meant Indy Car, not IRL. The idea that competition would drive down cost usually doesn't happen in racing. If you have something that's beating me, I have 2 choices, 1.keep what I have & get beat 2.innovate or buy something better, both cost $$. The $ to do that isn't there.

Input data & computers spits out what's needed to achieve results whether they're computers used by IRL or others & pretty sure those results won't be much different. Who's going to invest a boatload of $$ to come with basically the same thing?

@Jerrito_Cruz @DLand91 Did you go to the tracks you mentioned? I did & I saw some great racing but I also saw more empty seats then full as yrs went by. Fans decide where races are held by attendance & fans decided they didn't want these tracks.
