@atomobot I have, but I agree, you always worry about doing more damage. The few I have done work on were already pretty botched up, so I figured any fix I did would be a plus !
@atomobot You are correct. All the Starfleet Command P1s were sand cast metal. The way I heard, he worked a deal to get them cast for 7.00 each, and that lasted until the foundry guy learned what they were, and tripled the price !
@atomobot Still learning about the history of those old convention pieces. Those guys were making props in their garage without 3d printers, or computers, or even a freeze frame on the VCR ! We have it so easy today...🙂
@atomobot Little bit of everything, I'm afraid...
Collected toy robots from the 50s thru the 70s for 25 years or so. Still have a couple hundred. The Trek props are more recent, last 3 or years. Have maybe a dozen each of communicators and phasers.
@atomobot Bill, I found an old post from 2013 on Richard Coyles site. You were looking to ID a phaser you had. It's a copy of a Brad Nelson built by a company called Starfleet Command. Haven't seen one in years. Do you still own it ??
