@Bayou1776@NASCARInsights@FordRacing I just hope they learn from this, and don’t keep making the same mistakes. Obviously they needed a new body THIS year, not NEXT year. Would love to know the behind-the-scenes politics of how they got blindsided this badly.
@nrolando2STL@FordRacing@Blaney@ZaneSmith Oh but wait, they won a couple Cup championships in the past 5 years! Those Phoenix championships are so misleading though, even in those “championship” seasons Ford was off on speed. You are 100% correct that it’s been downhill since Pericak.
@DaleJr@MarcusSMI@NashvilleSuperS Can we make Cup a multi class series soon? Cup-Pro can be overall winner, so you know, basically which Toyota wins. Then Cup-Am can be which Ford or Chevy finishes the highest, and that way Ford/Chevy can get some notoriety as well.
@Rayeezee@JayStonePeMech@Bryan_49Ford@EricEstepp17@RyanStevensWTR Ford does terrible anytime they change the cars. It’s not until the end of the generation cycle that they finally catch up, but then the cars get changed again. Gen 6 is a great example. I predict they will be amazing by the final year of the NextGen (when it’s too late).
@FortyFiveJamie@Tjmajors@FordRacing Hasn’t been superior on speed at 1.5’s in, many years now (maybe 2018-2020)? That isn’t the “ebbing and flowing” of competition. Plate tracks are also the worst tracks to have speed because look at how many times Fords have gotten wrecked out of wins there.
@SVSagittarius@NASCAR The teams don’t fabricate or build the parts with NextGen anymore. Instead, most of the parts are from single source suppliers, and the teams just put it together. There is a difference. But you are technically correct.
When the teams actually built the cars, they could go “find something” by the end of the year and catch up to rivals. When @NASCAR builds the cars, I guess we have to just watch a Toyota parade until next year? Gonna be a long year for Ford/Chevy fans.
This race would be over without stage breaks.

@CurrygotIT30@itsblaneybaby For sure. And it’s very odd they are doing all the “8” tributes instead of “18.” Brexton runs 18 for KBM now, not 8. I’ll leave it there.
@Kriswalker61@EricEstepp17 Agreed. In F1 if one manufacturer dominates, articles are constantly pushed out regarding attempts by rivals to catch up. But NASCAR media members seem to avoid the manufacturer topic at all cost. Probably because they know nothing can be done to this terrible kit car.
@joejfamous@keselowski Agreed. Once all the Gen 5/6 and older class of drivers are no longer driving, NASCAR has a GIANT void in driver personalities that is not being filled by the NextGen driver class…
@JayStonePeMech He may be one of the more underrated drivers of all time. Imagine how many more wins and championships he gets if he doesn’t waste so many years at RCR…
