Good news today with the signing of experienced center Jacob Gaucher.

Last saw him in 2019 in Oxford and glad we had a chance to catch up at Skippers Pub and I got the opportunity to thank him.
Pictured with the great Steve Cady, who founded Miami hockey, and also alongside goaltending coach/former Miami play-by-play guru Mitch Korn.
Sad news with the passing of Bill Davidge. Miami hockey head coach in the 1980s and then longtime NHL broadcaster for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
As classy as they come. Friend to so many in Oxford. Always made it clear he was in my corner as I pursued a career in broadcasting.
Kololsov Re-Signs with Flyers for one-year extension.
Petruzzelli Re-Signs with Phantoms for one-year extension.
Will be third full season in organization for both.
Kolosov spent most of 2025-26 with Phantoms.
Petruzzelli was with Reading in 2025-26.

The longest game in the 90 year history of the AHL. My privilege to be on the call for this epic moment at 1:09 am when Alex Krushelnyski scored the winning goal.
Full replay of the game airing on the Phantoms365 app and Phantoms Radio Live: https://t.co/sTZktZDROV
Two years ago at this very moment...
The #LVPhantoms defeated the Charlotte Checkers by a score of 2-1 in @theAHL's longest game when Alex Krushelnyski (@AKrushelnyski) netted the game-winning goal 6:48 into the 5th overtime period.
@JeffStanek1@DerekHuffSB "Commentator" generally refers to the announcer.
Not somebody who is making a comment.
Using that word instead makes it difficult to understand your intent.
I actually thought the same thing before you clarified: Greg Brown on the call said absolutely nothing incorrect.
@TimBrando@BravesOnWTBS A zillion rain delays and went from packed to very few people there by 4am. And Sterling still had THAT kind of perfect energy for that incredible moment. After being on and off the air all night long.
TBS was showing reruns of Lost in Space during the various rain delays. LOL
@RossTuckerNFL@ByterBoy Actually, you aren't far off the original intent.
In 1910, the NHA switched to 3 periods from 2 halves partly due to ice conditions and partly to drive concession sales! Manual cleanup then without zambonis.
Today, intermissions normally 18 mins but OT intermissions are 15 mins.
Here is a Cam York OT goal with the Phantoms on the road in Laval.
Unfortunately, the video didn't include the hilarious ending.
York didn't celebrate on the ice at all. He waved to his teammates to follow him straight to the door & they all rushed off the ice. Unusual but fun.
Cam York scored his first pro goal almost exactly 5 years ago.
Apr 26, 2021.
(Restricted attendance and abbreviated season)
This was at the practice rink in Newark against the Binghamton Devils.
@JonHeyman Contrary to current thinking, umpiring today has gotten so much better. The technology is the reason why. Umps study the video after and improve. None of that Eric Gregg "think it caught the corner" as well as this video which really is quite striking based on what we know today.
@uniformcritic Calling for a pitchout...in the All-Star Game. Actual baseball strategy in the ASG?
Wasn't even noteworthy at the time. Wonder when was the last time there was a pitchout at ASG.
Article on substack says pitchouts are down 94% since 2010. Maybe 1 per year per team today. Wow!
