Jacobe Smith gets his fourth UFC fight on nine days’ notice Saturday at #UFC332
Before MMA, he was an NCAA All-American at Oklahoma State, 2x NJCAA champ and 2x Fargo All-American. He’s now 12-0 in MMA and 3-0 in the UFC with three finishes.
@NoBickal I didn’t see the fight, but MMA twitter said that Gable tried hard over and over for a takedown but was continuously stuffed with ease. And then he was saved by landing a lucky punch.
@LiamPicksFights You were stunned that he made a single takedown entry, was in deep on a double leg, bailed to defend a guillotine, and then didn't make another attempt because he had the obvious advantage on the feet?
@fenoxsky His takedown wasn’t stuffed. He made a seamless double leg entry, was in deep, but ended up bailing to defend a guillotine, fairplay to his opponent. He had the obvious advantage on the feet, so there was no need to wrestle.
@MMAdamMartin He made a single takedown attempt, was in deep, but bailed to defend guillotine. Had obvious advantage on the feet, he didn’t need to shoot again.
@MMA__Matchmaker His standup will improve at a fast rate, his approach will be more wrestling-focused against good strikers, and the heavyweight division is weak. He could easily beat guys in the top 15 right now.
