@HeroicMrT My colleague is a Geography teacher and once they had finished marking their Geography allocation, was contacted by AQA to ask if they wanted to mark some English. They've never taught English and have zero experience of how to assess it!

@heymrshallahan I'd love to but considering it's an 1hr one day and then another 1hr two days later, usually in the middle of the day with lessons either side and I live over 30mins away from school, it wouldn't be doable! It would be nice to have it uninterrupted though!

@MrLGeo @DoctorPreece I made a career change and retrained at 30. I feel it makes me a much better teacher as I have life experience outside of the classroom that I can share with students. You will bring skills to the job that will add so much more to your teaching. Good Luck!
