An online international conference convened by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on October 9, 2026, on the eve of the World Day Against the Death Penalty, brought together lawmakers, former heads of government, ministers, lawyers and political figures from Europe, North America and Latin America to condemn the escalating use of executions in Iran and call for a stronger international response.
Speakers urged governments to make an end to executions a condition of political and economic relations with Tehran, pursue accountability through international and national courts, and support independent access to Iranian prisons. A recurring theme was that decades of executions and repression had failed to eliminate Iran’s organized opposition. Participants pointed to the endurance of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the expansion of Resistance Units inside the country and the NCRI’s proposed democratic transition as evidence that an organized alternative had survived despite sustained repression. The online conference featured NCRI President-elect @Maryam_Rajavi as its keynote speaker.

❗Those who can work, should work.
🥀 Yet the Welfare Party has walked away from meaningful benefits reform and continues to put welfare ahead of national security.
🔷Only Conservatives will end PIP for lower-level mental health conditions, bring back face-to-face assessments and focus help on those who need it.
More than 100 local councils house more asylum seekers than homeless people.
And 19 of those house *more than ten times* as many asylum seekers as homeless people.
Yet Labour MPs will attack people for saying that the government puts illegal migrants ahead of British citizens.
Britain and our allies face the most dangerous international environment in decades. Power is once again the ultimate currency in international politics, and hard power must be at the foundation of our approach. Britain Must Wake Up.

The small boats crisis has gone on longer than WWII. I will always regret that I could not solve it.
We have to show people the journey is pointless. Rwanda was criticised as a fantasy, but the real fantasy is thinking you can stop the boats without it.
For some time I had said that if forced to choose between membership of the ECHR and our national and border security, I would pick the latter.
During my tenure, attempting to leave the ECHR with only two years left in the parliament and with no mandate to do so would have been a recipe for constitutional chaos. You couldn't resolve all the issues thrown up by leaving in 24 months with a fractious parliamentary party, a sceptical House of Lords and limited diplomatic capital. Other countries can read our opinion polls.
With the help of KCs, we'd done extensive work on leaving. The plan was to say in the election campaign that we'd seek radical reform of the convention and the court, and leave if that could not be achieved quickly.
Like so many things in that campaign, it didn't go to plan, and we dropped the idea after Nigel Farage entered the race, for fear it would be dismissed as a panic move and make it harder to focus the election on tax and the economy.
With a mandate, a majority and a five-year term, it would be very different, and worth doing.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
I condemn in the strongest possible terms the horrific terrorist attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which claimed the lives of 12 innocent people and injured hundreds more.
On behalf of the people of Israel, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of those murdered and our wishes for a full recovery to the injured.
Terrorism targets innocent people and seeks to spread fear and instability. It must be confronted with resolve.
Israel looks forward to a strong Middle East—one that stands united against threats, protects its people, and builds a future of security, cooperation, and prosperity for all the peoples of our region.
Sharp’s Brewery - owner of the legendary Doom Bar - has been forced to close.
Why? Labour’s Jobs Tax and endless red tape.
Andy Burnham’s Labour Party is destroying businesses and killing jobs across our country.
🚨 Labour’s war on motorists NEVER ends 🚨
Now they’re axing major road schemes, including the A127 and A31, holding back growth and punishing drivers and businesses.
Britain needs better roads, not more cuts.
We need to get Britain moving again! 🇬🇧

When a jihadist terrorist organization like Hamas applauds a Nobel Peace Prize, the moral judgment of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee is rightly called into question.
Hamas murdered, raped, and kidnapped civilians on October 7. Now, the perpetrators of that massacre are celebrating Navi Pillay, whose career has been marked by repeated antisemitic rhetoric and relentless hostility toward Israel.
This isn’t just a disgrace. It’s a moral failure.

Luke Shaw pushes over Rodrigo Bentancur and pushes his head into his head and Bentancur gets sent off 🟥

Luke Shaw escaped a red card. Biased VAR is Back.
If that was violent conduct, explain to me how Shaw pushing Bentancur violently is not violent conduct?
I hope howard webb comes out and apologise to Tottenham re the referee and explain why he never sent luke shaw off if you lift your hands to someone body and face as that is a red card by the law but he will hide and say nothing bentancur should have stayed down but stuart attwell is always against us every time we have him .
