🚨 Chelsea are ready to back Xabi Alonso MORE than any other of his predecessors.
Chelsea insiders say Alonso and the five sporting directors are aligned with their vision when it comes to their plans this summer.
Chelsea want a partner for Levi Colwill. Multiple names have been discussed internally, though sources close to the club are keeping their cards close to their chest - a clear change from recent windows.
Chelsea also want to add a central midfielder between now and the end of the transfer window, with Adam Wharton is a long-term target but the Crystal Palace midfielder is set to cost around the £100million-mark.
Alex Scott's name was mentioned online towards the back end of last season but sources close to the club dismissed the links.
Chelsea are also hoping to add a left-sided attacker in the coming months. Morgan Rogers is more likely to join Arsenal as it stands, with Chelsea keeping other targets again secretive.

I'm actually seeing Chelsea fans say Hato can't play LB and he's only just a LCB?
There's no way you guys put up with Cucu at LB, to say this guy can't play there?
You don't watch games, takes a second to see his techincal and athletic ability.
Jamie Gittens working off season.
Unlike Delap and Garnacho, he's actually got ability and potential, there's something there.
Just need him to get over injuries and needs coaching and minutes to develop at Chelsea.
Still believe he can be a Top Winger.
🚨💣 BREAKING: Marc Cucurella deal is signed and sealed after surprising exclusive story earlier today.
Real Madrid to pay €55m fixed fee plus €5m add-ons as Chelsea allowed medical tests.
Cucurella, new Real Madrid player. 🇪🇸
Here we go, confirmed. ✅🇪🇸
🗣 John Terry on Nicolas Jackson: "I think [Alonso] would be mad not to get him back for pre-season, get him around the place and have a look at him.
I think he poses a real threat and he gives us a different option, because he makes runs behind as well, whereas João Pedro looks to link up. They can be a really good combination, I think."

Cucurella went through every emotion at Chelsea on the pitch. Always enjoyed his passion and desire that he played with and his mental resilience to turn things round and become such a key player.
The versatility to play LCB, LB and LCM with such professionalism and proficiency cannot be understated, especially those clutch goals under Maresca.
The deal, good or not, will depend entirely on the replacement for me.
Chelsea have lost a leader, someone who wanted and knew what was best for the club, and a big dressing room character.
